Target audience: Rehabilitation professionals interested in the final changes to the upcoming revision of the CRCC Code of Professional Ethics.
Overview: This session will review the major changes to the upcoming CRCC Code of Professional Ethics which become effective January 1, 2010.
Areas of Focus
- Review of the top 10 changes to the code
- Working within the new professional disclosure statement requirements
- Review of new sample disclosure forms
- Technology and impact on confidentiality and communication
- Changes within roles and relationships with consumers
- Heightened requirements for cultural competence
Format: Desktop learning session
Desktop sessions are a combination of lecture and discussion. You can participate at your own computer workstation. This format offers the ability to ask questions and share insights on the subject matter.
Set up requirements:
All you need to participate is access to a web browser and a telephone. Registered participants will be provided with a URL and phone number to access the training. These are easy to access, low-tech, no cost training opportunities.

Registration Deadline:
CRC Credits: 1.5 contact hours can be verified for each session for individuals currently holding certified rehabilitation counselor status. To receive CRC verification you must be formally registered, and participate in the entire training time period.
